Description:The CSFP Team Lead oversees the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) directly related to serving pregnant women, children, and seniors. The program is designed to aid low-income individuals known to be vulnerable to malnutrition during critical periods of growth and development, and to prevent the occurrence of health problems and improve the health status of these persons. The CSFP Team Lead is located 50% in the field and 50% in the administrative office site.
Duties:-Supervise the CSFP Coordinators by participating in team meetings, meeting individually with staff members, and reviewing performance to ensure their success.

-Conducts on site observation of staff at placements and monitors their effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism with clients and center staff.

-Submit monthly production schedule to warehouse contacts in a timely and accurate manner as well as unexpected changes in schedule and production resources needed.

-Accurately tracks client movement on/off the caseload and waiting lists and reports changes in a timely manner to QA Manager.

-Ensure all CSFP recipients maintain or obtain certification and are designated as such in KITS.

-Develops and maintains site volunteer program including orientation, training, monitoring and motivating. Provides periodic activities for the recognition and appreciation of site volunteers.

-Acts as advisor and consultant to CSFP clients and program partners.

-Ensures that USDA program requirements are followed.

-Develops the weekly and monthly outreach/intake schedules for staff based on client need.

-Provides screening of individuals for CSFP participation and conducts certification process; refers non-eligible persons to necessary program.

-Represents People and Nutrition (PAN-CSFP) program at community functions, regularly scheduled meetings and other meetings as needed.

-Places follow up calls to clients to reschedule box pick up locations and times; submits status to management daily.

-Reports site problems to the Sr. Manager of Social Services Assistance.

-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Associateís Degree in Human Services or related field with one year experience, or High School Diploma plus two years related experience. Program organization experience required, specifically with senior citizens and people from low socio-economic backgrounds. Knowledge of low-income populations and social service agencies that serve those communities preferred. Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people. Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to manage resources necessary to develop, implement, and monitor successful programs. Must possess effective problem solving and decision-making capabilities. Driverís license and transportation required. Ability to speak and write in Spanish or other language is strongly desired.
