|Description:||Perform operational accounting duties to effectively support and expand the mission of NTFB. Duties include a variety of accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of funds; computes, classifies, records and reconciles transactions utilizing NTFB’s Enterprise Resource Planning system.|
|Duties:||-Balance sheet reconciliations with follow-up and corrective actions to resolve discrepancies|
-Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, schedules and reconciliations
-Bank account reconciliations, including follow-up and corrective actions to resolve discrepancies
-Maintain fixed asset system
-Financial analysis on various accounts
-Maintain annual authorizations for:
-blanket purchase orders,
-pay by direct debit, and
-pay by credit card
-Special projects as assigned
-Back-up to other accounting personnel, including payroll
-Complete two volunteer activities during the fiscal year at agencies determined by the Food Bank. The employee is given time off during the work day to participate.
-Other duties as assigned
|Qualifications:||Bachelor’s degree in Accounting|
Minimum of three years’ related experience
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV2009 is a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
Experience in payroll and related tax required
Experience in inventory preferred
Experience in not-for-profit accounting preferred

Must also have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; requires strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail, accuracy with numbers is a must. Must be a team player, possess excellent customer service skills, exercise good judgment and be willing to take on additional responsibilities.
